Job Summary:Working under the direction of a team of Engineers on our Resuscitation R&D Team, the Mechanical Engineering Intern will design parts, assemblies, and enclosures for new and revised Ventilator and Aspirator products.Essential Functions:Create new designs, and execute modifications to existing designs, utilizing SolidWorksCreate studies and comparisons of existing geometry to confirm form, fit, and function of revised or modified designsDevelop new SolidWorks assemblies, models, and drawing packages from concept sketchesTest fixture design and developmentExecute product testing plans, and collect and analyze data, to verify new product designsPrototyping of usability concepts for evaluation and testingSkills Requirements:Proficiency with SolidWorks required, Certified SolidWorks Associate is preferredExperience building parts and assemblies using Rapid Prototyping/3D printers is a plusExperience with testing, test equipment, and data collection is a plusExperience with CNC machining and programming is a plusAbility to handle confidential information with discretion and skillRequired/Preferred Education and Experience:Minimum two years of Study in a Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering program with excellent academic standingMust be enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program in order to be consideredOther Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
