About the Community

An industry is a group of organizations or companies that produce particular goods or services. There are many job roles or functions roles that exist within each industry.  Our career industry communities connect you to tailored resources and programs to effectively explore job roles/functions, cultivate professional skills, build relationships with alumni and employers, and identify and apply for opportunities in specific fields of interest. 

This community is dedicated to information and resources on Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals and Sciences. In these industries are careers that involve efforts made to restore the physical, mental or emotional well-being of people, the creation and preparation of medicinal drugs, and understanding the natural world using systematic methodology based on evidence.

Rutgers University–Newark graduates enter the world prepared to make an impact. Through rigorous academics, career readiness programs, and hands-on experiences, our students develop the skills, confidence, and networks needed to thrive in their chosen fields.

Each year, the Office of Career Resources & Exploration surveys graduating students to understand their post-graduation outcomes—employment, continuing education, and other pursuits. The results below reflect our commitment to transparency and the success of RU–N graduates within six months of completing their degrees.

Our knowledge rate—the percentage of graduates for whom we can verify outcomes—has steadily increased over time, demonstrating growing engagement and data reliability:

  • Class of 2021: 27.3%

  • Class of 2022: 50.6%

  • Class of 2023: 57.7%

  • Class of 2024: 53.8%

  • Class of 2025: 66%
