Retirement Unlimited, Inc. is seeking an Administrator-In-Training (AIT) to join our AIT Program!
The AIT program is a full-time program in which the AIT obtains practical, on-the-job training in an Assisted Living, Independent Living, or Memory Care community in preparation to take the NAB exam and become a licensed community Executive Director. The State Licensure Board AIT program is up to a six-month program depending upon experience after which time the AIT will sit for the NAB exam and be considered for an Interim Executive Director, Assistant Executive Director, or Executive Director role in a RUI community. During the AIT program, the candidate can expect to travel to multiple communities in different states and assist with special projects, learn how to master the fundamentals of business and learn how to manage people, residents, and family members.
Skills you will learn from the AIT Program!
- The AIT will be prepared to cycle through all community departments as required to learn all aspects of care delivery in a community.
- Receives day-to-day supervision from the Executive Director of the assigned department; will assist the Executive Director in the general supervision of team members within the assigned department, during each rotation.
- Pursue the training curriculum, standards of practice, and licensing requirements necessary to become a licensed Executive Director in an assisted living community and work to complete the process with the Vice President of Training and Professional Development.
- Develop the skills needed to manage a community’s day-to-day operations including service delivery, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, staffing, and sales.
- Become familiar with the job descriptions and leadership responsibilities of each department and assume an active leadership role as their assistant.
- Train in each position of all departments so you can lead by example.
- Actively participate in management decisions during problem-solving sessions.
- Understand the contribution each position within the facility makes to the overall success of the program.
- Conduct daily rounds and report any concerns or problems to the appropriate department manager. Follow up to ensure a solution is reached.
- Assist in the (a) admission and (b) discharge of a resident.
- Provide overall leadership necessary to ensure that we provide quality care and enrich the lives of our residents, ensuring our community is actively engaged in our signature program.
