Retail Store Manager Training Program
Position Purpose:
The goal of this program is to develop a Retail Store Management Trainee to become a successful Retail Store Manager utilizing company policies, procedures, business practices and product knowledge while developing their leadership skills necessary to succession toward a career path to Store Manager. The program is designed to last 1 year with the trainee working side-by-side with successful managers that have proven effective strategies managing their stores and maximizing their bottom-line results. Success of the program will be determined by our ability to promote the trainee to Store Manager to an assigned store and trainee’s confidence to manage it autonomously.
Knowledge – gaining knowledge that will lead to making sound business decisions to achieve company goals and objectives
- Broad business knowledge – shows understanding of the business; competition; core business concept; organizational savvy
- Financial acumen – Gaining knowledge; maintaining budgets & store plans to maximize bottom line results
- Technical – acquiring & maintaining in-depth knowledge with all systems, software & sites; using your expertise to analyze & draw conclusions that will lead toward making sound business decisions.
Drive Business Results:
- Creates and executes plans for achieving sales goals & company objectives and delivering excellence in service.
- Inventory Management – create and maintain a plan to manage store inventory that ensures accuracy, consistent replenishment and maximizes sell thru
- Merchandising – ensures timely execution of floor moves; understands and adheres to company visual standards, mannequin dressing, windows, pricing and vignettes
- Learn & implement a plan to control expenses and meet sales budgets that will maximize bottom line results
- Takes personal accountability for individual and store results
- Learn and put into practice interviewing; make job offers; hire to build a team that you will guide to reach goals and achieve objectives for your store
- Read and discuss all standard operating procedures, Human Resource Management, Loss Prevention and Safety protocols. Develop your knowledge to ensure adherence to all policies and procedures and practice by training new hires.

Requirements:
- BS Degree Business, Management, Marketing, Inventory Management or Retail Management
- Customer Service Experience
- Established time management, organizational skills and communication skills
- Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively to achieve goals
