Being part of the Continuous Improvement department provides a great opportunity and channel to collaborate with multifunctional teams in a manufacturing setting, balanced with hands on operations activities. The selected candidate will be trained on specific tools in the CI program, such as Problem Solving, 5S, 8 Wastes, and Visual Performance management. They will also be the ambassador for coaching, training, and deploying these tools into shop floor application.
For this program, the main deliverable expectations are:
People Engagement
- Establish a positive first contact with CI programs for shop floor employees and enable engagement.
- Introduce and coach Visual Performance Management for everyone to manage performance for all departments.
Capability Building
- Develop Shop floor teams by delivering training, coaching and mentoring for CI methodologies.
Problem Solving
- Coach teams in applying problem solving (root cause analysis) to develop solutions, initiate change or lead Simple Problem Solving workshops when needed.
Performance Management
- Set up and support the implementation of daily, weekly, and monthly performance management reviews at shift, department and site level, including the definition of lagging and leading indicators.
- Setup a tollgate review governance for site improvement projects
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent command both of oral and written English and Spanish.
- Proficiency in MS office (Excel, Word, PPT). Advantage but not necessary, Power BI, Google Studio.
- Fast learner with passion to work with Operations and engage with shop floor.
- Ability and capability to train and coach in simple and meaningful approach.
- Motivated by challenges.
