Inspire young people through experiential outdoor learning with the Rock Eagle 4-H Environmental Education Program! Located adjacent to the Oconee National Forest, Rock Eagle expands the walls of the classroom for hundreds of schools and thousands of students. Enthusiastic, creative, and motivated seasonal instructors are needed each spring and fall to teach science and outdoor education classes (including lake ecology, herpetology, Native American studies, orienteering, canoeing and challenge course) to 3rd through 12th graders and assist with animal care, with the potential for high ropes course and other curriculum certifications.
The spring season runs from February through May, with the fall season running from August through December (Monday through Friday with occasional weekend work). Housing with a private room and semi-private bathroom is provided for $20/week. Seasonal staff may also visit other Georgia 4-H Centers.
